Tekken's "Movement for a Bright Society" with the Ministry of Justice
Tekken has generated excitement in the world with its flipbooks such as Pendulum, the NHK serial TV drama Ama-chan, and others, and has received an endorsement from the Ministry of Justice for the "Movement for a Bright Society". Tekken will produce new flipbooks.
This year we celebrate the 66th year of the Ministry of Justice's "Movement for a Bright Society", which started in 1951 with the goal of deepening the understanding in all citizens of the importance of the prevention of crime and delinquency and rehabilitation of people who have committed a crime, and having all citizens join forces in their respective positions in a nationwide campaign to try to build a bright society without crime and delinquency.
The newest flipbook is an epic tale of a total of XX pages about a boy getting back on his feet after making a mistake and is kindly watched over by a group of volunteer probation officers and other local people. The image of yellow feathers symbolizing happiness and is the symbol of the "Movement for a Bright Society" is effectively used in the story. The mascot of offender's rehabilitation "Hogo-chan the rehabilitated penguin" also makes an appearance in the story.
This production is also scheduled to be shown in July 2016 as the centerpiece of a month-long drive to promote "Movement for a Bright Society" on local television stations, electronic street bulletin boards, Aurora vision in sports stadiums, etc. and in other locations as a short CM from Prime Minister Abe which was recorded on February 28 in the Prime Minister's office concerning "support for people on the road to recovery".
In addition, this production will be screened in a talk session discussing the new and other well-known Tekken flipbooks from the past.
