Great Russian writer Lev Tolstoy once said:
“There is nothing like true, infectious laughter to bring people together”.
We feel that today humanity needs nothing more seriously than to be brought together in mutual understanding. I am certain that this celebration of laughter will open the hearts of the millions of people that visit this beautiful island of Okinawa to participate and enjoy, and will bind us together in friendship.
I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in the opening of this festival. It is my hope that our laughter will bring even the slightest amount of peace and brightness to the world.
I wish for every success in this celebration of “Laugh& Peace”!
