I am sincerely delighted at the holding of the “8th Okinawa International Movie Festival”, and would like to thank everyone that has worked hard to make it happen.
I believe that this year’s “Okinawa International Movie Festival” is going to be greater than ever before and overflowing with even more smiles, with the “Ginowan Tropical Beach Opening” event in collaboration with this city, as well as the other events planned all around the prefecture.
Here in our city, we continue to promote this movie festival with increasing gusto, together with the citizens of our “Ginowan Cheer Squad”.
The “Laugh & Peace” concept behind the “Okinawa International Movie Festival” matches well with the feelings of brightness, gener-osity and peace that the citizens of Ginowan and Okinawa have, and I am confident that as we meet new people through these movies, we will be able to help this message spread all over the world.
I sincerely look forward to seeing all of the attendees with smiles on their faces, as we hope for the continued development of the Okinawa International Movie Festival.
