The Okinawa International Movie Festival will be holding two sports events.
The first is the "Yuru-Sport" event in cooperation with the "World Yuru Sports Association", which allows everyone including healthy people, people with disabilities, children and the elderly to participate together in the same sport. There are a number of ways for locals to participate, and we hope that this will be an opportunity for people to learn about a new way of sport, which can be enjoyed in a variety of ways.
The second involves taking the concept behind the hugely successful "Yoshimoto x Kawasaki City Sports Club Athletic Meet" held in Kanagawa in January of this year, in which Yoshimoto affiliated athletes and entertainers with athletic skills joined with about 300 local elementary school children and others, to provide an opportunity for local children in Okinawa to mix with Yoshimoto representatives and athletes at the Ginowan Municipal Gymnasium.
