Storyline

"Blue films," "erotica tapes," etc... Existing in the underbelly of society, "Erogotoshi (pornographers)" make a living by providing anything related to erotic products. Based on the original story by Akiyuki Nosaka, "The Pornographers" is a dark comic satire that offers sharp insights into the Japanese sexuality. Directed by Shohei Imamura and stars Shoichi Ozawa, it portrays the intricate relationships between pornographers and their families of common-law wives and children.
